Viacom Gains Access Via Court Order to You Tube Server Logs

Friday, July 4th, 2008

There is a heated dispute between Viacom and YouTube brewing where infringement from Viacom’s most touted videos are making their way to you tube members across the world.

In conclusion, Viacom has won a court order to gain access to server logs in an attempt to determine the viewers, how many views and glean information about the server, IP addresses and other private user data for those who have watched or embedded exclusive blockbuster videos/movies created by Viacom.
